Only the +2 version counts toward the achievement and it can be obtained in your first playthrough (monikers like +1 and +2 no longer necessarily correspond to NG+). The Erdtree’s Favor talismans are the equivalent of the Ring of Favor and Protection (AKA the fap ring) from past Dark Souls games. It’s basically impossible to take on more than 1 at a time unless you’re ridiculously overleveled or perhaps completely change your build to specialize against fighting Tree Spirits, so try to keep each of the enemies in roughly the same spot while you fight them. You might be able to get away with just sprinting to the other side, but you’d need a ton of stamina and a bit of luck to ensure you don’t get hit by any of the tree spirits along the way. More importantly, it’s guarded by 3 (!) Putrid Tree Spirits, though 2 of them are hiding under the ash until you get close to their spawn points. The talisman itself is located atop a dead piece of wood in the middle of a ton of ash.
Along the way, you’ll need to take 2 elevators to as you make your way towards the capital. The closest Lost Grace is Forbidden Lands. You can’t get where you need to go from Lyndell proper. I don’t want to say more than that to avoid spoilers.Īccessing talisman itself requires you to enter Lyndell from the side of the Grand Lift of Rold. The Erdtree’s Favor +2 talisman is located at Lyndell, Ashen Capital, which is only accessible after you have defeated the final boss of Crumbling Farum Azula.
